Clear rules help. Your judgment still matters.
Dateposit adds accountability to a plan. It does not make a stranger safe, guarantee attendance, or replace normal real-world precautions.
What Dateposit can do
Create a private single-use invite, record acceptance, support matching commitment holds, and verify arrival through approved check-in methods.
What Dateposit cannot do
Guarantee attendance, guarantee identity, screen criminal history, or guarantee physical safety unless a specific future feature expressly says otherwise.
What you should do
Use appropriate meeting locations, protect personal information, tell someone when appropriate, control your transportation, and leave any situation that feels unsafe.
Use precise location only when check-in needs it.
Dateposit can request temporary browser location access to confirm arrival near the scheduled venue. It should not use that check-in location for advertising, continuous tracking, or unrelated profiling.
If GPS is unreliable and both people are physically present, the approved manual code backup can be used. Verification data may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy for fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations.
Safety first
Do not stay in an unsafe situation because you are worried about a hold. Leave or do not attend when you reasonably believe you are unsafe, contact emergency services when necessary, and use Dateposit's report/dispute process for the plan.
A technical problem should not become automatic proof of a no-show.
Dateposit should provide a manual check-in fallback and a review path for documented platform outages, GPS failures, payment problems, unauthorized transactions, and other disputes.
Material changes require re-acceptance
Venue, date, time, and commitment amount are core terms of the plan. If one changes after acceptance, both people should review and accept again.
Private link ≠ identity check
A single-use link reduces reuse. It does not by itself prove identity or safety. Only share the link with the intended person.
Users should have an accessible way to report fraud, harassment, coercion, location spoofing, code abuse, unsafe behavior, and payment disputes.
Know the financial rules too.
See exactly what happens after check-in, early cancellation, late cancellation, or a no-show.
