What happens to your hold after you show up?
A commitment hold is a temporary authorization on your payment method. While it is active, that amount may not be available to spend. When the plan is completed—or canceled within the allowed window—Dateposit asks the payment processor to remove the hold.
After the release request, your bank or card issuer decides when the money becomes available again. It may not happen instantly, and it may not appear as a traditional refund because the charge may never fully post.

Know what happens before you lock in.
The standard Dateposit rule is simple: show up and complete check-in, or cancel before the late-cancel window. If you cancel late or do not check in, your commitment amount can be forfeited.

What can the reliable person receive?
When an eligible late cancellation or no-show settles, the reliable person may receive Vault Credits after the required clearing and review period. Vault Credits can be used toward eligible future Dateposit commitment holds or approved digital rewards. They are not cash and cannot be withdrawn to a bank account.
